Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ligonier Valley Rams (Ligonier, PA), 55-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Apollo Ridge upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Vikings host Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA) to play the Lancers in a WPIAL 3A 3 bout on Monday, January 8. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Deer Lakes lost 46-41 in their recent league bout against Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, PA)

Next up, the Rams play the Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 3 bout, on Monday, January 8. Ligonier Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
