January 4, 2024: Remsen, IA 51050 St. Mary's Hawks (Remsen, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Kingsley-Pierson Panthers (Kingsley, IA), 63-55 in a non-league bout.
With the win, St. Mary's upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Hawks host South Central Calhoun (Lake City, IA) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 3-7. South Central Calhoun won 58-46 in their recent non-league bout against Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove (Ida Grove, IA)
Next up, the Panthers play the Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute (Mapleton, IA) in a Western Valley - North bout, on Friday, January 5. Kingsley-Pierson will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record.
