Moriah Vikings (Port Henry, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Plattsburgh Hornets (Plattsburgh, NY), 45-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Moriah upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Vikings host Saranac (Saranac, NY) to play the Spartans in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 6-1.

Next up, the Hornets play the Ticonderoga Sentinels (Ticonderoga, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley II bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Plattsburgh will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Sentinels come into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 51-46 league win over Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY).
