The Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) basketball edged the visiting Pleasant Valley Vikings (Chico, CA), 44-41 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Miners now possess a 8-9 record. They play next when they host River Valley for a bout on Tuesday, January 7. Nevada Union will play a Falcons team coming off a 58-52 non-league loss to Marysville (Marysville, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 3-11.
