January 4, 2025: Chesapeake, VA 23325 Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA), 47-36 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Granby advances its record to 9-2 on the year. The Comets travel to Manor (Portsmouth, VA) to face the Mustangs in a Eastern match on Friday, January 10. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 9-1. Manor won 64-32 in their recent non-league match against Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA)
The Braves now own a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grassfield for a Southeastern match on Friday, January 10. Indian River will face a Grizzlies squad coming off a 59-4 non-league win over Churchland (Portsmouth, VA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 10-1.
