The Floyd County Buffaloes basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the host Alleghany Mountaineers to 22 in the Buffaloes league victory on Thursday.

The Buffaloes now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cave Spring for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. Floyd County will battle a Knights team coming off a 57-37 league win over Salem (Salem, VA). The Knights record now stands at 9-2.

The Mountaineers (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Highlanders come into the Three Rivers contest with a 6-4 record.
