Virginia High School Basketball - Alleghany crushes Radford

January 20, 2023: Covington, VA 24426

Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA), 63-20 in a league bout.

With the win, Alleghany upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Floyd County (Floyd, VA) to play the Buffaloes in a Three Rivers bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a record of 12-4. Floyd County won 63-29 in their recent league bout against James River (Buchanan, VA)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) in a Three Rivers bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Radford will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 15-1 record after their 69-22 league win over Glenvar (Salem, VA).
