Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars (Greenwood, IN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Speedway Sparkplugs (Speedway, IN), 47-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Greenwood Christian Academy upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Cougars host Indianapolis Shortridge (Indianapolis, IN) to clash with the Blue Devils in a Pioneer - South bout on Saturday, January 6. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Indianapolis Shortridge lost 67-66 in their recent non-league bout against Phalen Leadership Academy (Indianapolis, IN)

Next up, the Sparkplugs clash with the Roncalli Royals (Indianapolis, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Speedway will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Royals go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 53-40 non-league loss to Franklin Central (Indianapolis, IN).
