In Tuesday's league outing, the Murray Mustangs (Murray, IA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Diagonal Maroons (Diagonal, IA), by a count of 60-37.

The Mustangs (1-5) will now prepare for their outing against Orient-Macksburg (Orient, IA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Orient-Macksburg was crushed by Adair-Casey (Adair, IA), 70-42, in a league outing.

The Maroons now hold a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Moravia for a Bluegrass outing on Friday, January 9. Diagonal will encounter a Mohawks squad coming off a 66-52 non-league loss to Cardinal (Eldon, IA). The Mohawks record now stands at 1-6.
