Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) and the visiting Forestview Jaguars (Gastonia, NC), saw Crest's basketball squad knock off Forestview by a tally of 73-59.

With the victory, Crest improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Stuart Cramer (Belmont, NC) to play the Storm in a Big South 3A challenge on Friday, January 8. The Storm come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Stuart Cramer lost 85-42 in their recent league challenge against Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC) in a Big South 3A challenge, on Friday, January 8. Forestview will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Greenwave come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 57-50 non-league loss to Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology (Charlotte, NC).
