Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Amherst Broncos (Amherst, NE) and the host Overton Eagles (Overton, NE), saw Amherst's basketball squad wallop Overton by a tally of 77-42.

With the victory, Amherst improves its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Broncos host Alma (Alma, NE) to play the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 7-1. Alma won 66-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Franklin (Franklin, NE)

Next up, the Eagles play the Maxwell Wildcats (Maxwell, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Overton will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 55-47 league loss to Hershey (Hershey, NE).
