Hodgeman County Longhorns (Jetmore, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ashland Blue Jays (Ashland, KS), 70-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hodgeman County upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Longhorns travel to Pawnee Heights (Rozel, KS) to play the Tigers in a Southern Plains-Iroquois bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 7-1. Pawnee Heights won 54-48 in their recent league bout against Spearville (Spearville, KS)

Next up, the Blue Jays play the South Central Timberwolves (Coldwater, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Ashland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Timberwolves go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 53-49 non-league loss to Meade (Meade, KS).
