The Verdugo Hills Dons (Tujunga, CA) basketball knocked off the host San Pedro Pirates (San Pedro, CA), 76-67 in Friday's non-league test.

The Dons (9-10) will now prepare for their test against Grant (Van Nuys, CA). The Lancers go into the East Valley test with a 10-7 record.

The Pirates now own a 12-8 record. They play next when they travel to Narbonne for a Marine test on Wednesday, January 11. San Pedro will encounter a Gauchos squad coming off a 62-61 non-league loss to Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, CA). The Gauchos record now stands at 8-8.
