Mississippi High School Basketball - McEvans tops West Bolivar
January 6, 2023: Rosedale, MS 38769 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the McEvans Warriors (Shaw, MS) and the host West Bolivar Eagles (Rosedale, MS), saw McEvans's basketball squad knock off West Bolivar by a count of 55-45.
With the victory, McEvans upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Edwards (Ruleville, MS) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Edwards won 41-39 in their recent league challenge against Amanda Elzy (Greenwood, MS)
Next up, the Eagles play the Simmons Blue Devils (Hollandale, MS) in a 1A Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. West Bolivar will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 74-53 non-league win over Humphreys County (Belzoni, MS).
