Superior Wildcats (Superior, NE) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Thayer Central Titans (Hebron, NE), 54-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Superior upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE) to play the Panthers in a C2 District 8 bout on Saturday, January 7. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 6-5. Fillmore Central won 49-48 in their recent non-league bout against Central City (Central City, NE)

Next up, the Titans play the Deshler Dragons (Deshler, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Thayer Central will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Dragons come into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 53-20 non-league loss to Shelton (Shelton, NE).
