North Carolina High School Basketball - Currituck County nudges Holmes

January 6, 2023: Barco, NC 27917

Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC), 53-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Currituck County upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Knights travel to Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC) to clash with the Panthers in a bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 9-0. Pasquotank County won 44-32 in their recent non-league bout against Manteo (Manteo, NC)

Next up, the Aces clash with the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Holmes will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Nighthawks go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 55-52 non-league loss to Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC).
