Colorado High School Basketball - Gunnison ripped by Pagosa Springs
January 6, 2024: Gunnison, CO 81230 The Pagosa Springs Pirates basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Gunnison Cowboys to 35 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Pirates now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Centauri for a 4A/3A Intermountain contest on Friday, January 12. Pagosa Springs will meet a Falcons team coming off a 57-48 non-league win over Delta (Delta, CO). The Falcons record now stands at 5-3.
The Cowboys (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against North Fork (Hotchkiss, CO). The Miners enter the 3A Western Slope contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, North Fork triumphed over Rangely (Rangely, CO), 54-13, in a non-league contest.
