January 12, 2024: Pagosa Springs, CO 81147 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Pagosa Springs Pirates (Pagosa Springs, CO) and the visiting Centauri Falcons (La Jara, CO), saw Pagosa Springs's basketball squad hold off Centauri by a tally of 39-37.
With the victory, Pagosa Springs improves its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Ignacio (Ignacio, CO) to confront the Bobcats in a 4A/3A Intermountain challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 5-4. Ignacio won 37-32 in their recent league challenge against Alamosa (Alamosa, CO)
Next up, the Falcons confront the Bayfield Wolverines (Bayfield, CO) in a 4A/3A Intermountain challenge, on Saturday, January 13. Centauri will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 74-65 league loss to Montezuma-Cortez (Cortez, CO).
