The Hazleton Area Cougars (Hazleton, PA) basketball crushed the visiting Pittston Patriots (Pittston, PA), 54-20 in Saturday's league test.

The Cougars (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Crestwood (Mountain Top, PA). The Comets go into the Wyoming Valley 1 test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Crestwood walloped Pittston (Pittston, PA), 46-38, in a league test.
