Salmon Savages (Salmon, ID) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mackay Miners (Mackay, ID), 76-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Salmon upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Savages travel to Butte County (Arco, ID) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Butte County won 65-44 in their recent non-league bout against Dietrich (Dietrich, ID)

Next up, the Miners play the Challis Vikings (Challis, ID) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Mackay will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 62-52 non-league win over Leadore (Leadore, ID).
