Minnesota High School Basketball - Mankato East nips Stewartville
January 6, 2024: Stewartville, MN 55976 Mankato East Cougars (Mankato, MN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Stewartville Tigers (Stewartville, MN), 64-63 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mankato East upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to Mayo (Rochester, MN) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Mayo lost 62-53 in their recent non-league bout against Roseville (Roseville, MN)
Next up, the Tigers play the Kasson-Mantorville Komets (Kasson, MN) in a AAA Section 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Stewartville will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Komets go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 68-60 league loss to Austin (Austin, MN).
