The Panthers now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Verona for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 9. Newark Collegiate Academy will battle a Hillbillies team coming off a 44-42 league loss to Shabazz (Newark, NJ). The Hillbillies record now stands at 3-7.
The Chargers (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ). The Ridgers come into the Super Essex - Independence battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Glen Ridge was routed by Montclair (Montclair, NJ), 53-33, in a non-league battle.
