Illinois High School Basketball - Sandburg holds off Oak Forest
January 6, 2024: Oak Forest, IL 60452 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sandburg Eagles (Orland Park, IL) and the host Oak Forest Bengals (Oak Forest, IL), saw Sandburg's basketball squad hold off Oak Forest by a tally of 63-58.
With the victory, Sandburg improves its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Joliet Central (Joliet, IL) to confront the Steelmen in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 10. The Steelmen come into the challenge with a record of 9-6.
Next up, the Bengals confront the Tinley Park Titans (Tinley Park, IL) in a South Suburban challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Oak Forest will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 70-62 non-league loss to Westinghouse (Chicago, IL).
