January 6, 2024: Langley, WA 98260 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Overlake Owls (Redmond, WA) and the host South Whidbey Falcons (Langley, WA), saw Overlake's basketball squad overcome South Whidbey by a tally of 65-49.
With the victory, Overlake improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Owls host Seattle Academy (Seattle, WA) to confront the Cardinals in a 1A Emerald Sound challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. Seattle Academy won 67-42 in their recent league challenge against Bear Creek (Redmond, WA)
Next up, the Falcons confront the Granite Falls Tigers (Granite Falls, WA) in a 1A Emerald Sound challenge, on Wednesday, January 10. South Whidbey will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 51-45 league loss to Bush (Seattle, WA).
