The Columbus Discoverers basketball team (Columbus, NE), was nudged 50-44 in Saturday's league battle with the host Pius X Thunderbolts (Lincoln, NE)

The Thunderbolts now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincoln Southeast for a A District TBD match on Thursday, January 11. Pius X will meet a Knights team coming off a 56-51 league loss to Lincoln Northeast (Lincoln, NE). The Knights record now stands at 6-3.

With the defeat, Columbus moves to 6-6 on the year. The Discoverers host Norfolk (Norfolk, NE) to meet the Panthers in a A District TBD match on Friday, January 12.
