The Minden Whippets basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Valentine to 12 in the Whippets non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Whippets now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ravenna for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Minden will meet a Bluejays team coming off a 53-43 non-league loss to Wood River (Wood River, NE). The Bluejays record now stands at 3-9.

The (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Cody-Kilgore (Cody, NE). The Cowboys/Cowgirls enter the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Cody-Kilgore triumphed over Creek Valley (Chappell, NE), 54-24, in a non-league contest.
