Minnesota High School Basketball - St. James knocks off Martin County West
January 6, 2025: Sherburn, MN 56171 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the St. James Saints (St. James, MN) and the host Martin County West Mavericks (Sherburn, MN), observed St. James's basketball team overcome Martin County West by a margin of 72-63.
The Saints (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Pipestone (Pipestone, MN). The Arrows come into the AA Section 3 challenge with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, Pipestone dropped by Redwood Valley (Redwood Falls, MN), 73-68, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Mavericks battle the Cleveland Clippers (Cleveland, MN) in a A Section 2 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Martin County West will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Clippers come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 75-49 non-league loss to Le Sueur-Henderson (Le Sueur, MN).
