Ohio High School Basketball - Jackson overwhelms Waverly
January 7, 2023: Jackson, OH 45640 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Jackson Ironman/Ironladies (Jackson, OH) and the visiting Waverly Tigers (Waverly, OH), saw Jackson's basketball squad wallop Waverly by a tally of 54-19.
With the victory, Jackson improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Ironman/Ironladies travel to Washington (Washington Courthouse, OH) to confront the Blue Lions in a Frontier challenge on Friday, January 13. The Blue Lions come into the challenge with a record of 12-3. Washington lost 66-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Bishop Ready (Columbus, OH)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Valley Indians (Lucasville, OH) in a Southern Ohio II challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Waverly will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 61-59 league win over Wheelersburg (Wheelersburg, OH).
