New Jersey High School Basketball - Steinert nips Monmouth Regional
January 7, 2023: Hamilton, NJ 08690 Steinert Spartans (Hamilton, NJ) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Monmouth Regional Falcons (Tinton Falls, NJ), 35-33 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Steinert upgrades its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Spartans host Lawrence (Lawrenceville, NJ) to play the Cardinals in a Colonial Valley bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 0-9. Lawrence lost 47-35 in their recent non-league bout against Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ)
Next up, the Falcons play the Shore Regional Blue Devils (West Long Branch, NJ) in a Shore C - South bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Monmouth Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 64-41 non-league win over Liberty (Jackson, NJ).
