January 7, 2025: Lovelock, NV 89419 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) and the visiting Coral Academy of Science - Reno Falcons (Reno, NV), observed Pershing County's basketball team overwhelm Coral Academy of Science - Reno by a margin of 65-17.
The Mustangs (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Incline (Incline Village, NV). The Highlanders come into the 2A Northern challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last challenge, Incline trounced Sierra Lutheran (Carson City, NV), 77-59, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Falcons battle the North Tahoe Lakers (Tahoe City, CA) in a 2A Northern challenge, on Friday, January 10. Coral Academy of Science - Reno will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Lakers come into the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 47-31 league win over Sierra Lutheran (Carson City, NV).
