The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) and the host Sierra Lutheran Falcons (Carson City, NV), observed Pershing County's basketball team knock off Sierra Lutheran by a score of 63-44.

The Mustangs (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Smith Valley (Smith, NV). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 8-1 record. In their last challenge, Smith Valley prevailed over Sierra Lutheran (Carson City, NV), 71-44, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons encounter the West Wendover Wolverines (West Wendover, NV) in a 2A Northern challenge, on Friday, January 3. Sierra Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record.
