January 7, 2025: Lyford, TX 78569 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Lyford Bulldogs (Lyford, TX) and the visiting IDEA Frontier College Prep (Brownsville, TX), observed Lyford's basketball team overwhelm IDEA Frontier College Prep by a margin of 102-39.
The Bulldogs (14-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Progreso (Progreso, TX). The Red Ants go into the 3A Region IV District 32 bout with a 12-13 record. In their last bout, Progreso crushed IDEA Riverview (Brownsville, TX), 38-36, in a league bout.
With the loss, IDEA Frontier College Prep falls to 0-15 on the campaign. The host Rio Hondo (Rio Hondo, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 3A Region IV District 32 bout on Friday, January 10. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 13-10. Rio Hondo won 61-24 in their recent league bout against IDEA Weslaco Pike (Weslaco, TX)
