California High School Basketball - McFarland thwarts Taft

January 7, 2025: Taft, CA 93268

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the McFarland Cougars (McFarland, CA) and the host Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA), observed McFarland's basketball team knock off Taft by a score of 76-59.

The Cougars (15-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Kennedy (Delano, CA). The Thunderbirds come into the South Sequoia challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Kennedy was knocked off by Del Oro (Bakersfield, CA), 61-58, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Chavez Titans (Delano, CA) in a South Sequoia challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Taft will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 63-33 league win over Wasco (Wasco, CA).
