In Tuesday's league test, the Virginia City Muckers (Virginia City, NV) basketball squad defeated the host Sage Ridge Scorpions (Reno, NV), by a final score of 53-40.

Next, the Muckers clash with the Mineral County Serpents (Hawthorne, NV) in a 1A West test, on Friday, January 10. Virginia City will attempt to upgrade on its 11-0 season record. The Serpents come into the test with a 6-8 record after their 69-41 league loss to Smith Valley (Smith, NV).
