The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs (Jacksonville, NC) and the visiting New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC), observed Northside - Jacksonville's basketball team knock off New Bern by a score of 56-42.

The Monarchs (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record.

In their next game, the Bears battle the J.H. Rose Rampants (Greenville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 9. New Bern will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record.
