The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Horizon Huskies (Scottsdale, AZ) and the visiting Buckeye Hawks (Buckeye, AZ), observed Horizon's basketball team overwhelm Buckeye by a score of 66-29.

The Huskies (9-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, AZ). The Pride come into the 5A East Sky challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last challenge, Mountain Pointe trounced Mountain View (Mesa, AZ), 49-44, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) in a 5A Desert West challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Buckeye will attempt to improve on its 1-12 season record. The Scorpions come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 87-43 non-league loss to San Tan Charter (Gilbert, AZ).
