New York High School Basketball - Canandaigua Academy defeats Newark
January 8, 2025: Canandaigua, NY 14424 The Canandaigua Academy Braves (Canandaigua, NY) basketball were winner over the visiting Newark Reds (Newark, NY), 68-56 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Braves now possess a 4-0 record. They play next when they host Greece Arcadia for a Section 5 Monroe 3 bout on Friday, January 10. Canandaigua Academy will play a Titans team coming off a 79-67 non-league loss to Eastridge (Rochester, NY). The Titans record now stands at 3-7.
With the loss, Newark falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Reds travel to Mynderse Academy (Seneca Falls, NY) to play the Blue Devils in a Section 5 Finger Lakes - East bout on Friday, January 10. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Mynderse Academy lost 58-55 in their recent league bout against Waterloo (Waterloo, NY)
