New Mexico High School Basketball - Eldorado can't hold off West Mesa
January 8, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87111 West Mesa Mustangs (Albuquerque, NM) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Eldorado Golden Eagles (Albuquerque, NM), 75-72 in a non-league match.
With the victory, West Mesa advances its record to 8-3 on the year. The Mustangs host Hobbs (Hobbs, NM) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Friday, January 10. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 12-2. Hobbs won 63-39 in their recent non-league match against Valley (Albuquerque, NM)
The Golden Eagles now own a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley for a non-league match on Friday, January 10. Eldorado will face a Vikings squad coming off a 63-39 non-league loss to Hobbs (Hobbs, NM). The Vikings record now stands at 5-6.
