The Valor Christian Eagles ice hockey squad (Highlands Ranch, CO), was nudged 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Monarch Coyotes (Louisville, CO)

With the win, Monarch moves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Coyotes travel to Cherry Creek (Greenwood Village, CO) to face the Bruins in a non-league test on Friday, January 10.
