January 9, 2023: Decatur, MS 39327 In Monday's non-league outing, the Laurel Christian Lions (Laurel, MS) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Newton County Academy Generals (Decatur, MS), by a margin of 61-24.
The Lions (7-10) will now prepare for their outing against Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS). The Jaguars go into the MAIS 4A District 4 outing with a 2-0 record. In their last outing, Wayne Academy smashed Sylva Bay Academy (Bay Springs, MS), 57-41, in a non-league outing.
