The Mackay Miners basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Challis Vikings to 50 in the Miners non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Miners now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grace Lutheran for a 1A II Rocky Mountain contest on Friday, January 12.

The Vikings (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Watersprings (Idaho Falls, ID). The enter the 1A II Rocky Mountain contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Watersprings nudged North Gem (Bancroft, ID), 57-43, in a league contest.
