Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Portage Indians (Portage, IN) and the visiting Hammond Central Wolves (Hammond, IN), saw Portage's basketball squad wallop Hammond Central by a count of 68-47.

With the victory, Portage upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Indians host Lake Central (St. John, IN) to play the Indians in a Duneland challenge on Friday, January 12. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 12-0. Lake Central won 55-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Highland (Highland, IN)

Next up, the Wolves play the Hammond Morton Governors (Hammond, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 12. Hammond Central will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Governors come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 79-74 league loss to East Chicago Central (East Chicago, IN).
