The La Salle Academy Rams basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Classical Purples to 33 in the Rams league triumph on Tuesday.

The Rams now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Mary Academy-Bay View for a Division 1 contest on Thursday, January 11. La Salle Academy will meet a Bengals team coming off a 55-26 league win over South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI). The Bengals record now stands at 6-3.

The Purples (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI). The Patriots enter the Division 1 contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Portsmouth ran past Rogers (Newport, RI), 51-18, in a league contest.
