In Thursday's league test, the L'Anse Creuse Lancers (Harrison Township, MI) basketball squad knocked off the host Anchor Bay Tars (Fair Haven, MI), by a score of 63-53.

Next, the Lancers clash with the Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI) in a non-league test, on Monday, January 13. L'Anse Creuse will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Chieftains come into the test with a 3-6 record after their 41-40 league win over Romeo (Romeo, MI).
