In Thursday's league test, the Bakersfield Drillers (Bakersfield, CA) basketball squad trounced the host Highland Scots (Bakersfield, CA), by a score of 81-44.

Next, the Drillers clash with the Monache Marauders (Porterville, CA) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 10. Bakersfield will attempt to improve on its 12-6 season record. The Marauders come into the test with a 10-7 record after their 63-59 league win over El Diamante (Visalia, CA).
