With the victory, Independence advances its record to 13-6 on the year. The Falcons travel to El Capitan (Merced, CA) to meet the Gauchos in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 18. The Gauchos enter the battle with a record of 10-7. El Capitan won 56-46 in their recent league battle against Merced (Merced, CA)
