With the victory, Southwest Valley advances its record to 6-5 on the year. The host Central Decatur (Leon, IA) to face the Cardinals in a Pride of Iowa match on Friday, January 10. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 5-3. Central Decatur lost 45-37 in their recent league match against Martensdale-St. Mary's (Martensdale, IA)
The Cougars now own a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ar-We-Va for a non-league match on Friday, January 10. CAM will face a Rockets squad coming off a 52-31 non-league win over Glidden-Ralston (Glidden, IA). The Rockets record now stands at 6-2.
