In Thursday's league test, the Fayette County Tigers (Fayetteville, GA) basketball squad defeated the host Mary Persons Bulldogs (Forsyth, GA), by a score of 64-44.

Next, the Tigers clash with the Spalding Jaguars (Griffin, GA) in a AAA Region 2 test, on Friday, January 17. Fayette County will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record.

The Bulldogs (5-12) will now prepare for their test against Troup County (LaGrange, GA). The Tigers come into the AAA Region 2 test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Troup County overcame LaGrange (LaGrange, GA), 60-45, in a league test.
