The North Rowan Cavaliers basketball squad (Spencer, NC), was nudged 75-69 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host North Stanly Comets (New London, NC)

With the victory, North Stanly advances its record to 13-1 on the year. The Comets host South Stanly (Norwood, NC) to meet the Rowdy Rebel Bulls in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley battle on Tuesday, January 14. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls enter the battle with a record of 8-5. South Stanly won 65-56 in their recent league battle against Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC)

The Cavaliers now own a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lexington for a 1A/2A Central Carolina battle on Friday, January 10. North Rowan will meet a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 75-42 league loss to Salisbury (Salisbury, NC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-7.
