The Towns County Indians basketball squad (Hiawassee, GA), was crushed 55-26 in Thursday's league battle with the host Washington-Wilkes Tigers (Washington, GA)

With the victory, Washington-Wilkes advances its record to 5-7 on the year. The Tigers host Warren County (Warrenton, GA) to meet the Screaming Devils in a A D2 Region 8 battle on Friday, January 17. The Screaming Devils enter the battle with a record of 7-7.

The Indians now own a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Copper Basin for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 11. Towns County will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 57-41 league loss to Sale Creek (Sale Creek, TN). The Cougars record now stands at 5-7.
